It is the Lord's Day so there are no winners. . . There were some contenders and in keeping with the spirit, I'll give them a "Shout Out". . . Those who celebrated the sabbath in church are the winners!
Contender #1. . .Worn by a youngish woman of good cheer: Life is Better when You're LAUGHING!
Contender #2. . . Worn by a slightly mysterious woman: "SUBLIMINAL THRILL SEEKER" . . . . Yea! We don't know either. . .
Contender #3. . . Worn by a woman who wasn't. . . . "SMILE"
As you can see. . . No winners!
Duane could go on and on about the mass, but it is probably best that he just shuts up! That said. . . Duane did notice a few things. . . 80% of the people at mass are in their "Sunshine Years" (Older than Duane) Duane thinks that in most churches it is ALL old people. The Youngsters are all out on their skateboards, listening to the Devil's music and making out on the lawn behind the church.
Out of the 7 priests, 3 were black. I have no idea what this means, but it is interesting.
The church, as magnificent as it was, had no kneeling benches. We saw several people who were so moved by the spirit, however, that they kneeled right down on the hard, cold slate floor to wrap up their prayers! That's some hardcore religiosity. Duane didn't do this, but approves.
Duane likes the incense. The church Duane grew up in didn't use the stuff and Duane thinks it adds a nice touch. The church Duane grew up in used other mood inhancers, but none we can discuss on the Sabbath.
It's getting late. . . See you tomorrow! It has been a great day in Paris!
