We knew that eventually . . . . .

We knew that eventually something would go wrong. . . It just did! Luckily no one was hurt in this "Waterless Event" and there probably is a solution, but at this very moment, there is NO WATER in our apartment. Neither of us is starting to rot yet, so we are safe for a little while. This gives us time to sample the excellent selection of Chinese Tea left by a former resident. (Lucky for us there was water left in the tea pot.) This also gives us time to plot our strategy for today.
Duane was taken back to a time in his childhood when his father would rest the work horses every few days. This may be a day when Duane gets to rest his sore muscles and tired bones. Yesterday was one of our favorites, but because we missed a Metro stop we ended up walking about 20 miles out of our way. We decided that was a good lesson in planning. . . . Study the Metro maps MORE carefully. Just because you don't see a Metro station doesn't mean it's not there. Wait! I hear water! Gotta go!
