Once the water started flowing . . .

Once the water started flowing we were on our way. Everyday we get better at this. Today we slept until after 8:00 and didn't leave the apartment until almost noon. This was aided somewhat by our water shortage, but we are working on travel in the slow lane. For years we called ourselves, "Frantic Travelers" (Mostly because of Duane's need to see everything right now!) and now we are taking time everyday to do the old Italian stroll, even in Paris. Duane is still not good at this, but he's getting better. When preprogrammed to walk at a120 step per minute pace, slowing down grinds the gears.
Today we headed for the Musee d'Art et d'Historie du Judaisme (better known as the Jewish museum) . The history of the Jews Is stunning and scary and inspirational, but I won't go into that here. It's not that kind of blog. Needless to say, they are a remarkable people and we are always a little emotional after one of these visits and this one didn't even touch on the holocaust.
This guy was hanging around out front and Paula thought he was cute:
We stayed in the Jewish quarter and ate what has become Paula's favorite food item, the falafel.
This looks appetizing huh?. . . It includes veggies (Cabbage, more cabbage, zucchini, tomatoes, egg plant) wrapped in a pita pocket. The fried balls of chick peas are the heroes of this salad even before a couple different sauces (One Spicy) are poured over the top. Paula would eat one every day if she could. There is, however, only one place to get them! Here! They hand them to you in a napkin, and you're left to fend for yourself in the streets. There are NO Tables! We went around the corner to a neighborhood park to eat ours. All benches were full of people eating falafels. When Paula got in line it was easily 70 people deep, but it moves along like crazy. Here's some people in a park!
The above picture is taken in the Place des Vosges. It is only about 3 blocks from our apartment and it is the hotspot in this part of town. People will tell you it is he most beautiful square in all of Paris, believe them. Again, I won't go into the history (It's not that kind of blog), but look it up on at google thingee. We found some interesting people here:
And this one is just to prove that people of all ages are all over each other all the time. These are some seriously horny people! This couple had hidden themselves somewhat in one of the arches, but I think that was just an accident. They'd have jumped each other anywhere given their state of arousal.
